Dear EAMic Users,
We would like to bring to your attention that the Certification Authority Browser Forum (CA/Browser Forum) passed Proposal SC-081v3 in April 2025. In accordance with this industry standard, effective March 15, 2026, all newly issued public SSL/TLS certificates from major Certificate Authorities (CA) will have a maximum validity of 200 days. This period will be further reduced (to 100 days, and ultimately to 47 days after March 15, 2029).
Shortening the validity period of SSL/TLS certificates, as a cornerstone of secure network communications, is a globally adopted measure to enhance overall security and mitigate the risks associated with long-term certificates. This initiative is being adopted across the industry and is not specific to any single service provider.
As your product provider, ValueApex would like to explain this industry-wide change and provide the following information for your reference.
For EAMic SaaS Customer:
Please rest assured that we have already assessed and made the necessary adaptations to our cloud platform’s certificate management mechanisms, including certificate application, deployment, and automated renewal processes. This industry standard update will not affect the continuity of your service or your user experience.
For EAMic On-Premises Customer who manage their own SSL/TLS certificates:
If your server SSL/TLS certificates are issued by a public CA and managed by your own team, please pay close attention to this industry change. We recommend that you:
1. Check the validity periods and issuing authorities of your existing certificates.
2. Assess and appropriately adjust your internal certificate lifecycle management and renewal processes.
3. Plan ahead for certificate renewals to avoid potential service interruptions caused by certificate expiration under the new shorter validity periods.
This change in certificate validity periods represents a global upgrade in internet security standards. We hope the information above helps you better understand this industry trend. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
ValueApex (Shanghai) Information Technology Co., Ltd.
